When one considers the term ‘pollution’ we often imagine the smog hanging over the buildings of a highly populated urban society. We may imagine the numerous amounts of waste traveling through the different bodies of water; for example, oil in the ocean or human waste in the sewer system. In this environment it’s sometimes difficult to create and maintain a healthy indoor air quality.
However, we fail to realize that pollution is more rife than imagined and can be evident in our work and home settings. Really? Yes, through the polluted chemicals within the dust, home cleaning products, and even human skin particles. The most effective level has been noted as approximately 40% as this controls bacteria and additional allergens in the summer months. Of course, this is only a recommendation and the ideal setting will be based on the individual’s particular requirements.
